Norwalk, CT. [October 9, 2012] It is with great pleasure that
FairfieldCountyJobs.com (www.FairfieldCountyJobs.com) announces their Fairfield County Job Market report for September 2012. The report tracks the overall activity on FairfieldCountyJobs.com, the area’s leading regional job board with over 100,000 unique visitors clicking through close to 500,000 times per month to view details on open jobs in the area. FairfieldCountyJobs.com is also home to a resume database with over 40,000 resumes from area job seekers, allowing employers to source candidates directly on its website.
Report highlights for September 2012:
• 9% drop in jobs posted off of a record August suggests some market softening, but overall still a strong job market.
• The highest volume of positions posted this past month was for roles in Administrative, Accounting, Sales and Medical.
• Greenwich, Westport and Norwalk were the hot markets for the month.
David Lewis, CEO of AllCountyJobs.com, which includes FairfieldCountyJobs.com, commented, “When you take into account the Labor Day Holiday and the shortening of total business days in the month as a result, the posting activity suggests a very strong market overall.” Lewis added, “Maintaining the levels of postings or close to what was a record August suggests a strong fourth quarter is possible, but factors such as the upcoming election and fiscal cliff may impact the tail end of Q4.”
