AfterCollege and the California Nursing Students’ Association Launch Environmentally-Friendly Online Newsletter

Range of Motion, the official newsletter of the California Nursing Students’ Association, will be published exclusively online, saving thirty eight trees each year.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--August 19th, 2008 – AfterCollege, the largest career network for college students and alumni, and the California Nursing Students’ Association (CNSA) today announced that Range of Motion (ROM), the award winning newsletter of CNSA, will be available exclusively online at www.cnsa.org.  The new platform enables users to read and browse articles online and provides the option to print articles for offline reading.  Readers may also access job and career information and search archives directly from the newsletter home page.  AfterCollege will continue to produce and publish a print version of the annual Convention Issue for attendee distribution.

AfterCollege provides web services and career tools to 35 state student nursing associations and hosts and maintains customized online job boards at 596 nursing schools and departments throughout the country.  The AfterCollege network reaches 381,248 nursing students and recent graduates.   Range of Motion is currently the only SNA newsletter published by AfterCollege in the new online format.

“The number of students and young adults accessing online news and information is increasing, and so is the frequency with which they use the Internet, as well as the amount of time they spend online. We are pleased to work with the CNSA to move Range of Motion online,” said Michael S. Fernald, Director of University Relations at AfterCollege.

“Making ROM available online makes sense given that students are some of the most enthusiastic Internet users.  It’s also the environmentally responsible thing to do.  By transitioning to an online only version of the newsletter, we are saving 38 trees per year” said Louise Jones, Communications Director of CNSA.
