LAS VEGAS – We Care – a non-profit program committed to attracting teachers from across the United States to Southern Nevada and assisting the families of incoming teachers – named Douglas Geinzer chairman.
Geinzer, president and CEO of Las Vegas-based Recruiting Nevada, brings more than 17 years of experience in recruiting needed-professionals, especially teachers and nurses, to We Care.
The program, which is provided through a partnership between the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and the Clark County School District, has provided job assistance to many households with dual income-earners for more than 10 years.
Though the teacher in the family has an immediate job when he/she comes to Nevada, a spouse might have a harder time finding employment without assistance. The We Care program encourages hundreds of employers to give special attention to resumés submitted by teachers’ family members. We Care distributes family members’ resumés to hundreds of top employers in Southern Nevada and uploads his/her resumé into a searchable database accessible only by the top employers in Southern Nevada. Family members of teachers will also receive a free weekly newsletter that delivers job opportunities in his/her specific area of expertise.
